Memphis forward Tayshaun Prince is a glue guy. Nothing flashy, just gets the job done doing all the little things.
Well, he did a big thing in last night’s Grizzlies win over the Thunder.
On a fast break he basically dunked on the entire Oklahoma City franchise on an and-one throw down that brings to mind the vintage Tayshaun Prince…though we cannot be certain that even vintage Tayshaun Prince ever had this thunderous of a dunk – no pun intended.
Prince lifted off during a fast break and threw down a powerful dunk over Serge Ibaka, Thabo Sefolosha, and Reggie Jackson. There are some very elite defenders in that threesome, including the NBA’s leading shot blocker in Ibaka.
Prince didn’t seem to mind.
For a guy that brings to mind a string bean when discussing his less-then-muscular physique the fact that he was able to throw down this powerful of a dunk deserves some extra celebration, which he promptly received as apparently half of Memphis was shown excitedly jogging towards him after this slam.
