The seattle-based coffee chain Starbucks has officially banned smoking on their property as well as 25 feet around their storefronts. The rule will go into effect starting June 1 and will affect all 7,000 locations in the U.S.

There has been an online push for Starbucks to prohibit smoking since 2009, reports Adweek. The ban covers not only traditional cigarettes, but electronic cigarettes as well.

This won’t affect consumers in many major metropolitan areas since smoking is already banned in public spaces. However, it will get rid of the classic combination that clears the mind: caffeine and nicotine.
