Meet Richard Styner, the San Leandro High School teacher who was arraigned this week in Alameda County Superior Court on charges of child pornography and first-degree residential burglary.

The Bay Area computer science teacher’s horrible, no-good, very-bad spring began on April 16 when he inadvertently exhibited a nude image of himself in front of a class full of students, reports CBS San Francisco. The lesson that day involved the transfer of images on electronic devices. Students in the class ranged between 14 and 18 years old.

Styner, 45, notified school officials of the birthday-suit blunder. School officials then alerted police.

The inevitable search of Styner’s computer allegedly turned up over 200 pornographic stories including a tale of a 14-year-old girl who has sex with her brother. That particular story is accompanied by a photo of a naked female who looks underage.

Meanwhile, the burglary incident allegedly occurred in October 2012. According to the Contra Costa Times, prosecutors say Styner entered an unidentified female friend’s residence while she was out of town. She had given him a key in case of an emergency.

Inside, the high school teacher meticulously arranged several items from the woman’s dresser including underwear and running pants. Then, he photographed this stuff.

Court documents further allege that Styner Photoshopped the woman’s head to images of naked female bodies. (RELATED: High school teacher busted with Photoshopped images of students’ heads on naked bodies)

It’s not clear how police connected Styner to the burglary.

San Leandro Unified School District Superintendent Cindy Cathey indicated that Styner was placed on unpaid administrative leave, notes the Contra Costa Times. The district is cooperating with the criminal investigation and also conducting its own investigation.
