America is now the “land of the free and the home of the gay,” according to Lady Gaga’s version of the national anthem.

The singer altered the Star Spangled Banner — a 200-year-old song celebrating an American fort’s survival of a brutal British attack — to fit the mood of New York City’s gay pride celebrations on Friday after a recent Supreme Court ruling struck down the federal Defense of Marriage Act.

“And the rockets’ red glare, the bombs bursting in air, gave proof through the night that the flag was still there,” Gaga sang, waving a rainbow flag.

“Oh, say does that star-spangled banner of pride yet wave,” Gaga belted as the crowd roared,  “over the land of the free, and the home of the gay.”

The singer attributed her fame to her gay fans, who inspire in her a quasi-religious reverence.

“You saved me, my friends in the LGBT community, time and time again,” she told the crowd in an emotional speech, according to the New York Daily News. “And I saw God for the first real time in all of you.”

The pop diva, whose Twitter bio reads, “When POP sucks the tits of ART,” posted a photo of herself on her account after the Wednesday ruling.

“We stand tall today,” her tweet read, depicting her kneeling in a white wedding dress. “#DomaStruckDown So many fought for so long. Be proud, the prejudice [sic] are now the minority.”
