Anthony Weiner is still a pervert (and there are pictures to prove it)

Today’s the day for news about disgraced New York politicians, I guess. Not that that narrows it down.

I heard about this earlier today, but I didn’t want to believe it because it’s just too perfect. That’s what I get for being skeptical about anything having to do with Anthony Weiner and his penis. USA Today reports:

New York mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner acknowledged Tuesday the existence of inappropriate texts between him and a woman not his wife that occurred after his departure from Congress in 2011.

“I said that other texts and photos were likely to come out, and today they have,” Weiner said in a statement. “These things that I did were wrong and hurtful to my wife and caused us to go through challenges in our marriage that extended past my resignation from Congress.”

An online site called The Dirty posted screenshots on Monday of messages between Weiner’s account and an unidentified woman, dated August 2012.

Now that Weiner has admitted it, here’s one of the pics, courtesy of The aforementioned Dirty. Don’t worry, his namesake has been covered up, the way he wish this whole thing could be:

And you can read a bunch of very graphic texts here. As you’re reading them, if you can stomach it, remember that this all happened after he got in trouble. (My favorite line, from the still-unnamed woman: “Specifically your health care rants were a huge turn on”)

Did I mention that his nom de perv was “Carlos Danger”? Because it seriously was.

I’d just like to point out that I called this whole thing months ago:

I’m kind of in mourning right now. Not because I believed in him or anything, but I really wanted him to win as a goof. Well, maybe he can still get through this. He learned his lesson from last time: Admit it immediately, don’t try to throw anybody else under the bus, etc. So there’s that…

There’s nothing about this on Weiner’s Twitter account yet — the one he created to replace his old one, which he dropped after the last time this happened — but last week he did tweet this:

I kinda like arrogant jackass Weiner better than humbled, apologetic Weiner. What can I say, the guy has grown on me. Like a wart.

Update: “Anthony Weiner” is trending on Twitter, which he would’ve wanted a week ago. So is “Carlos Danger,” which he wouldn’t.

Update: I didn’t think of this headline. I wish I had.

Update: Commenter Caleb Herod says, “You have to give them credit: Between Weiner, Spitzer, and National Hot Dog Day, Democrats sure know how to celebrate Monica Lewinsky’s birthday.”

Update: Now here’s a good question…

And another…

Update: Oh my goodness…
