As key provisions of President Obama’s mammoth health care law are set to go into effect next year, a new poll shows that nearly 4 in 10 Americans want the law repealed entirely.

According to a CBS poll released Wednesday, 39 percent of Americans said they want Congress to repeal the Affordable Care Act, more commonly known as Obamacare. The number represents the highest number of Americans calling for repeal to date, according CBS.

Thirty-six percent of Americans indicated they wanted to keep the law intact or have it expanded.

But not everyone opposing the law is calling for its repeal. Fifty-four percent of respondents said they opposed the law, while 36 percent said they supported it. The rest indicated they hadn’t head of it.

Some House and Senate Republicans are trying to form a coalition to defund Obamacare before major portions of the law go into effect in January.
