Wisconsin Republican Sen. Ron Johnson will join the crowd of politicians who have made the pilgrimage to Iowa in recent months, the state that holds the first presidential nominating contest every four years.

Johnson will meet with Iowa business people at an invitation-only roundtable lunch on Tuesday, in a trip sponsored by Americans for Prosperity, The Des Moines Register reports.

Later in the day, he will hit the campaign trail against Iowa Democrat Rep. Bruce Braley, the likely Democratic nominee for Senate, holding three events in the state.

A parade of Republican presidential hopefuls have made the rounds in Iowa over the past few months: Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum attended an event last weekend, Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul has visited, and former Vice Presidential nominee Paul Ryan will headline Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad’s birthday in November.
