Tim Tebow’s professional career has all but come to an end.

The famed quarterback was released from the New England Patriots on Saturday, essentially rendering his NFL career dead in the water. There was a chance that other teams could pick him up, but as of Sunday, every team passed on him, reports NBC sports.

Tebow, 26, gained notoriety after bringing Florida to the BCS national championship and winning the Heisman trophy. As a rookie quarterback in the NFL, he led the Broncos to the playoffs. He was picked up by the New York Jets in 2012, but was dropped.

The Patriots picked him up for the 2013-14 season, but reportedly he did not make a strong enough showing during the preseason. Although he has name recognition, he has failed to make a strong impression as a quarterback after his initial season with the Broncos.

Odds are that he will not return to the NFL after being dropped.
