WASHINGTON — Neil Young does not want any bombs to be dropped, the musician said on Monday when asked for his thoughts on American military intervention in Syria.

Young was in town for an event on the Farm Bill with Democratic Sens. Debbie Stabenow and Harry Reid.

After the press conference, the musician offered brief thoughts on the proposed U.S. intervention in Syria to oppose the use of chemical weapons by Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

“Let’s not have any bombs, you know,” he told reporters, who fought past the fans looking for autographs. “Let’s just stop the bombs.”
