No charges were filed against George Zimmerman on Monday as an investigation continues into whether he threatened his estranged wife with a gun, as she originally told Central Florida police.
Lake Mary police say they were called around 2:30 p.m. to the Sprucewood Road home owned by Shellie Zimmerman’s parents, David and Machelle Dean.
According to Lake Mary Police Chief Steve Bracknell, Shellie Zimmerman called 911 claiming George Zimmerman had a gun and was making threats.
“He’s in his car and he continually has his hand on his gun and he keeps saying, ‘Step closer,’ and he’s just threatening all of us,” Shellie Zimmerman said in the 911 call, adding that George Zimmerman was “trying to shut the garage door” on her…
No arrests were made and George Zimmerman was “no longer in investigative detention,” according to police, who investigated the incident as a domestic battery and have retrieved home surveillance videos from David Dean. If evidence is found that a crime occurred, charges could be filed later.

Just a couple of weeks ago, Shellie Zimmerman pleaded guilty to perjury. But we shouldn’t let that affect our opinion of her credibility, now that she can be used as a weapon against Emmanuel Goldstein George Zimmerman. We should take her at her word, because it enforces our existing views. Any facts that conflict with those views can be discarded, if not twisted around to mean whatever we want them to mean.
Besides, in any divorce case, the woman always tells the truth about everything. What are you, some kind of misogynist?
If it were any of my business, I’d tell George Zimmerman to stay away from his wife. He’s under a spotlight, and the media that tried him and found him guilty is going to do whatever it takes to get him. They’re frustrated that he was allowed to defend his own life against an attacker, so they’re going to make that life as miserable as they can.
But it’s not any of my business. Weird, right?
Update: Lake Mary Police are now calling into question several statements Shellie Zimmerman made to 911. So they’re both racist and misogynist! Just because her father has no visible injuries (she claimed George punched him in the nose) and no gun was found anywhere near the scene, that doesn’t mean anything.
