Putin didn’t say anything about American exceptionalism that Obama hasn’t said
Some people are ticked off about Putin’s remarks in the NYT — that’s right, THE NEW YORK TIMES PUBLISHED AN OP-ED FROM VLADIMIR PUTIN — particularly the part at the end where he went off on American exceptionalism. But he’s not saying anything Obama hasn’t said already.
Obama can claim he never said it, or that we just didn’t understand the brilliant nuances of it, or whatever. In fact, if asked, he undoubtedly will. He lied about the whole “red line” thing, after all, as well as just about everything else he’s said for the last 5 years. Even though it’s all on tape, and our moral, ethical, and intellectual betters in the MSM could easily fact-check him if they felt like it. They just don’t feel like it.
Putin knows his enemy. He knows exactly what he’s doing. Whereas Obama is a bumbling dilettante. Our country is being run by a callow amateur.
Just like we’ve been saying for half a decade now. You wouldn’t listen, so here we are.
Update: The White House’s petulant, mewling response. They’re treating brinkmanship with Vladimir F***ing Putin like a flamewar on one of their Brony message boards.
