Hate drinking but love feeling over-caffeinated? There’s a spray for that.

Sprayable Energy, a patent-pending odorless topical energy spray, will soon be coming to market in the U.S. The spray combines caffeine, water and a derivative of the amino acid tyrosine.

The product’s creators claim that their spray is “way safer to use than the cocktail blends of current energy products,” and that it becomes active within 15 to 30 minutes.

Ben Yu, one of the co-founders of Sprayable Energy, is also one of libertarian billionaire Peter Theil’s “20 under 20” fellows – a fellowship created through the Peter Theil Foundation offered to students under 20 years old that offers them up to $100,000.

Yu previously told TechCrunch that he invented the spray because he was “too sensitive to caffeine.”

Sprayable Energy is expected to be available by Dec. 2013.
