Badass WWII veterans pay no mind to government shutdown [SLIDESHOW]

“If you can read this, thank a teacher. If you can read this in English, thank a veteran.”

T-shirts adorned with the aforementioned logo were seen far and wide as WWII veterans visited the barricaded WWII Memorial in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday despite the government shutdown that closed public memorials.
