Republicans on Capitol Hill scored a decisive victory Wednesday night in ensuring “strict income monitoring of those seeking taxpayer subsidies under Obamacare” in the new fiscal agreement to re-open the government and extend the debt limit until February.
The “strict income monitoring” provision was the only major concession the GOP won in the deal.
Obamacare will go forward and be funded, but you’d better believe that people looking for taxpayer subsidies are going to have their incomes strictly monitored. That’s right. You don’t even know how strictly those incomes are going to be monitored.
