Katy Perry’s single “Roar” off her album “Prism,” is a catchy and upbeat fight song she wrote in the aftermath of her divorce from Russell Brand. While that context is good enough for a pop song, the children being treated at the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock in New Hampshire decided to make it their own.
The hospital created the video for their “CHaD HERO half marathon & Ripcord 5k” event. According to their Facebook page, video production services were donated by Sublime Eye and Red J Media Productions. The hospital says the event raised “over $650,000…and fundraising continues. Thanks to you, all of these kids and thousands more just like them can also keep roaring!”
As one commenter on the Youtube page put it, “Best superhero movie I’ve ever seen.” See these brave kids for yourself.
