President Obama joked that math was hard for him during a classroom visit Friday at P-Tech High School in Brooklyn.

“I liked math, but then it started to get harder. And so that can be frustrating,” Obama told students in an Algebra 2 class, accompanied by Education Secretary Arne Duncan, according to a White House pool report.

Obama’s confession was the highlight of what appeared to be an otherwise obnoxious combination Friday of Obama and Brooklyn.

The federal debt recently topped $17 trillion for the first time ever.
