As Game 6 in the World Series rolls around, fans are going to great lengths to snag a seat in Fenway.

The Sox are leading the Cardinals 3-2 and Boston fans are paying exorbitant amounts for the hopes of seeing them win at home.

According to TiqIQ, a ticket tracking company, tickets were going for $1,860 Tuesday morning. Jim Holzman of Ace Ticket told ESPN that “prices were going up $50 an inning,” during Game 5.

“People want to see them win it here,” Holzman said of Fenway. “That’s what has made this the biggest ticket we’ve ever seen. It’s the Super Bowl except people don’t have to pay $1,000 for a hotel and $2,000 for airfare.”

Chris Matcovich, vice president of data for TiqIQ, said only 3,000 tickets are on resale for the game. That’s only half of the amount usually available for past World Series games.
