English teacher who sexted a bunch of horny high schoolers broke no laws

A former high school English teacher in Pueblo, Colo. committed no crime when she sent racy texts of herself dressed in panties — and only panties — to several male students, according to police.

The South High School teacher, Larisa Oringdulph, also admitted to kissing a 17-year-old student outside the school gym, which also wasn’t a crime, reports local ABC affiliate KRDO.

In Colorado, the age of consent is 17.

Oringdulph, 31, did violate a bland school district policy concerning the transmission of texts to students, though.

She abruptly resigned earlier this month and she still retains her teaching license.

Oringdulph was busted after a concerned mother found the image of the barely-clad English teacher on her son’s cellphone, explained KRDO in a previous story. It’s not clear how the mom determined that the woman in the photo is Oringdulph.

When police contacted Oringdulph, she said she had meant to send the raunchy text to her personal trainer.

Oringdulph’s husband later told the station that she had “resigned for personal reasons.”

The specific school district policy that Oringdulph violated is titled “Staff Use of Technology and Internet and Electronic Communications.” It doesn’t have anything to do with posing for randy teenagers in just underwear.

“Staff may not communicate with students through personal social media platforms or by texting without prior authorization from an administrator,” the policy reads.

School district officials have repeatedly refused to comment on Oringdulph’s behavior except to say that revoking a teacher’s license is a protracted process that requires an investigation.
