A new screen-design concept for the iPhone 6 would wrap the touchscreen over the left edge of the phone, giving users faster access to apps and options on the go.

The idea is to have app utilities like the flashlight, camera, calculator, alarm, music, etc., just a tap away without even having to raise to the phone to eye-level or bypass the lock screen.

The same concept features a bezel-free display and increases the screen size on the iPhone 5s – the model the design is based on. By removing the bezel, the size of the phone itself doesn’t have to grow for the sake of a bigger screen.

A designer from Kazakhstan, Iskander Utebayev, created the concept and featured it on Behance.

Smart phone developers Samsung and LG have already released models with curved displays, though wraparound displays have yet to make it into consumers’ hands despite appearing in numerous design concepts.

Though Apple is reportedly working on larger iPhones with bigger screens to compete with models like the Samsung’s Galaxy lineup, the notoriously secretive developer has confirmed no official details – including the possibility of a wraparound screen.
