Being press aides to the “Cocaine Congressman” – Rep. Trey Radel (R-Fla.) – is a tricky resumé builder. Do you include it in your list of accomplishments, or skip it and just focus on your skills and previous jobs?

In Washington, most people are bright enough to know that just because your boss is tarred by scandal doesn’t mean you can’t move on to greener pastures no matter what he or she did. And this week, two aides in Radel’s press shop have landed new jobs at Kurt Bardella‘s new firm, Endeavor Communications. Bardella, is, of course, no stranger to scandalous situations. Having endured his own, perhaps he’s especially sympathetic and able to tap talent where he spots it.

The aides are Amanda Nunez, Radel’s communications director, and Caitlin Rush, his digital director. The hires were apparently in the works before Radel was arrested for purchasing cocaine in Washington’s Dupont Circle neighborhood.

Noteworthy: The fact that these two women worked for Radel was left off their bios in the release. Bardella, however, readily offered up where their specific employment histories.
