The most important story of our time: A gay restaurant server in New Jersey may or may not have been denied a tip

It’s Stonewall all over again, people.

NBC 4 New York:

After a gay server at a New Jersey restaurant said a customer denied her a tip and wrote her a hateful note on the receipt, a local family contacted NBC 4 New York and said their receipt shows they paid a tip and didn’t write any such note.

Dayna Morales, a former Marine and a server at Gallop Asian Bistro in Bridgewater, posted a photo on Facebook earlier this month, showing the bill with a line through the space for a tip. The photo of the receipt showed someone had written, “I’m sorry but I cannot tip because I do not agree with your lifestyle…”

But a family contacted NBC 4 New York claiming their receipt from the restaurant shows they did leave a tip, and provided what they said was a credit card statement as proof.

The husband and wife, who asked to remain anonymous, showed NBC 4 New York a receipt that appeared to be printed at the same minute, on the same date, for the same $93.55 total, except with an $18 tip.

They also provided a document they said was a Visa bill, which appears to indicate their card was charged for the meal plus the tip, for a total of $111.55.

A likely story.

Ask yourself this: Which of the two parties in this dispute is a member of a Designated Victim group? And which of the two parties is one of those justifiably reviled nuclear families? Why, I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the anonymous family making this claim are a bunch of Christians.

Even if it turns out that these people didn’t do this, I proclaim them guilty anyway via the well-established precedent of “Fake But Accurate.” They maybe be innocent, but their mere presence among brave people like Dayna Morales is intolerable. They represent the worst of America. They shouldn’t be allowed to roam free, leaving 19% restaurant tips all willy-nilly.

Would one more percent have killed them? Did they really need to call Dana “Dan”? That’s offensive!

And before you even try it: No, they are not vicims of “heterophobia.” Whatever that even means. How could such a thing exist? Everybody knows one side is always the victim and the other side is always the oppressor. If you start switching the two around just because somebody presents facts and evidence, what sort of world will that be? Not one I want to live in, I’ll tell you that.

Shame on you, homophobes. Even if you’re not actually homophobes. You might have been, and you still might be. Based on criteria you don’t get to choose.

That’s good enough for me.
