Green or not, this Tesla Model S will do way better in snow than your car this weekend [VIDEO]

Though Tesla’s have been catching some heat lately, this video proves the Model S is still the coolest thing to have in snow.

The secret behind the 400-horsepower Model S’s unbeatable traction is the low inertia in the electric motor and drivetrain system. While a traditional car needs time to add or reduce power from the engine to the drivetrain, the Model S does so “almost instantaneously,” according to Tesla Vice President of Engineering Chris Porritt.

That allows the Model S to respond to commands and conditions faster than any other automobile. The car combines real-time data from the driver, motor, drivetrain and suspension to create the most optimal traction possible in any conditions.

And to ensure your optimal comfort while you tear through the worst Old Man Winter can throw at you, the Model S uses its cooling system and battery heat to maintain your preferred temperature without reducing your battery range. You can even set it from your phone before making it out to the driveway.

All things considered, its the safest, and probably fastest, sleigh for all of your snow dashing needs this winter — provided you keep a fire extinguisher handy.
