Kelly Osbourne flames Obama over L.A. traffic nightmare

Kelly Osbourne went ballistic after a swanky fundraiser attended by President Obama shut down traffic in a wide section of Los Angeles, leaving the reality TV celebrity trapped while her dogs starved and La La Land’s peaceful streets descended into post-apocalyptic chaos.

Twitchy reports that Osbourne, best know as the daughter of Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne, took to Twitter as the always-intrusive presidential visit to L.A. turned that veritable paradise into an urban nightmare. Osbourne’s stream of invective started off with the news that the E! “Fashion Police” panelist had been “driving around for over an hour trying to get home because the ‘president’ is at a party on my street.”

Osbourne’s scare quotes on the word “president” to describe the nation’s first black chief executive preceded an ever-more volatile tirade during which she alternately fumed and pleaded to be allowed home to feed her pets.

Obama’s Los Angeles visits are always grueling for local residents. The Hollywood-adjacent former school of this reporter’s children requires special pickup arrangements during presidential visits (a requirement that was not in place during Bush visits), though it is far from the epicenter of Obama activities.

As her ordeal continued, Osbourne warned that internally displaced Angelenos were fighting in the once-peaceful streets.

Ok now people are street fighting this is too much all people want to do is go home!

A clearly rattled Osbourne went on to say that she did not know Beverly Hills was a separately incorporated city.

Even the mayor of Beverly Hills ps I had no idea BH was big enough to have a mayor regardless they won’t even let her go home!

It’s not clear whether Osbourne was referring to former Beverly Hills Mayor Nancy Krasne, whose term lasted from 2009 to 2010. The Garden Spot of the World’s current mayor is John A. Mirisch.

Osbourne is just the latest Hollywood personality to turn on Obama, who has always been able to count a firm grip on Tinseltown as a foundation of his power. During his L.A. visit the president hobnobbed in tony locales with luminaries including Samuel L. Jackson, Tom Hanks and Magic Johnson. (Related: Obama to Hollywood: Stop glorifying guns)

But the power list of anti-Obama celebrities has grown big enough to fill at least a booth at El Coyote family restaurant. (Related: 4 Hollywood stars who recently came out of the closet as…anti-Obama)

Los Angeles County is fabled for its heavy traffic, and its streets are in atrocious condition after years of rule by a Democratic cabal bent on ignoring traffic realities as part of their insane and delusional crusade to remake L.A. into a “transit-centered” junior version of Manhattan or Washington, D.C. Nevertheless, the area is generally navigable through a “whole network” approach that makes use of surface streets, access alleys and freeways — a process in which an old paper-and-ink Thomas Guide is often more useful than a phone with GPS.

After Obama’s 2012 re-election, Osbourne cheered the result — as not only a win but a victorious win.
