Planned Parenthood’s 2012-2013 annual report is out, and a pro-life group has already found that the pro-abortion group received nearly $1.5 million a day in government funding over the year.

“We are the nation’s leading reproductive health care provider and advocate, with more than 700 health centers across the country that will see nearly three million patients this year,” reads the report’s introductory message from Planned Parenthood chair, Alexis McGIll Johnson and president Cecile Richards.

The report looks at Planned Parenthood’s impact, health services and financial situation.

In 2012, Planned Parenthood performed 327,166 abortions, representing 3 percent of its total medical services. The organization did nearly 4.5 million STI/STD tests and treatments, or 41 percent of its medical procedures, and provided contraception services in more than 3.7 million cases (including 3,749 vasectomy patients), or 34 percent of its offered medical services.

Cancer screening and prevention represented another 10 percent of Planned Parenthood’s 2012 services, “other women’s health services” or pregnancy testing and prenatal services, represented 11 percent and “other services” (including 2,197 adoption referrals) represented 1 percent of the organization’s medical offerings.

Twenty-six percent of Planned Parenthood’s revenue came from private contributions in 2012, 25 percent came from non-government health services revenue and 4 percent came from “other.” Government grants and reimbursements accounted for 45 percent of Planned Parenthood’s revenue, or $540.6 million.

The organization further reported over $1.3 billion in net assets and $58.2 million in excess revenue.

Wednesday, the pro-life Susan B. Anthony List released their analysis of Planned Parenthood’s report, concluding that Planned Parenthood has an abortion bias, noting that for every adoption referral Planned Parenthood performed 149 abortions.

According to SBA List, abortion referrals were down 4.5 percent from the year prior. Additionally, while Planned Parenthood’s abortion rate also declined 2 percent, prenatal services dropped 32 percent in a year, and 52 percent since 2009.

SBA List further noted that with $540.6 million in government funding, Planned Parenthood pulled in an average $1.5 million per day in the form of grants, contracts, and Medicaid reimbursements, a 0.3 percent decline from 2011.

“Planned Parenthood claims to be a trusted health care provider to women and girls, but their numbers tell a different story. Planned Parenthood is a business whose entire mission is to profit off of abortion,” SBA List president Marjorie Dannenfelser said in a statement.
