A new speed-reading app lets users read faster and retain more information than ever from a smartphone or tablet.

ReadQuick displays any article chosen one word at a time at a pace set by the user, estimates how long it will take to read and actually teaches users to read faster with the content of their choice.

Users can sync ReadQuick with other apps and reading lists like Instapaper, Pocket and Readability. The app also includes a built-in browser that can pull any article from any site.

Developer Wondersauce, which builds for tech giants like Google and Samsung, included a stats feature showing readers how many words they’ve read and how fast over time, allowing them to track their speed-reading progress.

ReadQuick also has a suggested content option with prominent featured partners including Macworld, Talking Points Memo, Longreads, TechMeme, GigaOm, and of course – The Daily Caller, which can be found at the top of the ‘Featured’ section.

The app is $4.99 on the iTunes store for iPhone and iPad devices, and will be coming to Android devices soon.
