If you’ve got a few extra thousand bucks laying around, the only thing you’ll need to become a cool exec with a heart of steel is Robert Downey Jr.’s awesome goatee.

A company called Iron Man Factory is crowdfunding real Iron Man Mark III, armor complete with electronics and sliding faceplate (the Mark III is the first red and gold suit seen in the original 2008 “Iron Man” film).

The factory prototype featured in the company’s video below is made of a 3D-printed carbon fiber-polymer body, uses metal joints for movement, and lights up just like the movie with AAA-battery powered repulsors. It weighs about 6.6 pounds and will comfortably fit an individual between a height of 5 feet, six inches and 6 feet, one inch.

Basically, it’s the coolest thing ever.

The project hasn’t been sanctioned by Marvel and faces an alarming number of licensing issues — the company declined to comment on how it would handle the legal hurdles.

Future armored avengers can pledge $1,800 for the helmet, $1,999 for a full injection moulded suit, and $35,000 for the top-of-the-line 3D-printed suit — the Ferrari of Iron Man armors. A space-grade aluminum model is also in the works.

Your pledge won’t be charged until orders start shipping in the next four to eight months, assuming the project is a success.

Cheer up heroes – the latest run of Marvel’s Iron Man comic book puts the price of an armor suit around a few billion, but you won’t need a Tony Stark-sized budget to rock the con floor next summer.
