After the family next door to Jeremy and Sheila Brown unveiled an impressive exhibition of Christmas lights and decorations, the Tennessee couple decided to use humor to attract attention to their own house, the Jackson Sun newspaper reports.

The Browns erected an arrangement of lights that spells the word “DITTO,” with an arrow pointing toward their neighbor’s impressive show of Christmas cheer.

“When your neighbors put up decorations like that, you can either be jealous, or you can be humorous; it’s up to you,” Jeremy explained to the Sun. “So I just figured when you can combine Christmas decorations and sarcasm, it’s right up my alley.”

The idea seems to have first popped up in Arizona last year.
