Aspiring Senate candidates, take note: If you want to make a point about where you stand on a controversial issue, nothing is more likely to draw attention than releasing an ad with not-so-subtle undertones.
A new video posted to Milton Wolf’s campaign webpage, titled “Dr. Milton Wolf crushes ObamaCare in 17 seconds,” depicts him driving along a highway, driving straight over an Obamacare logo with a crunch, punctuated by the tag line, “There is a better way.”
Wolf, who is running against long-time Republican Kansas Sen. Pat Roberts, is a practicing doctor and has been sharply critical of Obamacare.
When reached for comment by The Daily Caller, sources close to the Wolf campaign said that the video is a preview to the upcoming health-care plan that the campaign plans to release soon. Wolf has criticized Roberts for voting to confirm Kathleen Sebelius as secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services.
The campaign received a boost in late November after being approved by the Senate Conservative Fund, which has previously supported the likes of Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and Utah Sen. Mike Lee. SCF executive director Matt Hoskins called Wolf “a principled conservative who will fight to stop the massive spending, bailouts and debt that are bankrupting our country. He’s not a career politician. He’s a doctor who understands exactly why Obamacare must be repealed.”
“The reality is that whenever the Democrats have needed Republican votes to pass their agenda of growing government, they know that they have been able to count on Pat Roberts,” Wolf told TheDC in August.
