Did you know that rage-monster Sean Penn, 53, is now banging Charlize Theron, 38? Well, now you do. They have apparently been friends for years and that recently turned into what is surely a love-filled union.

Theron recently convinced her new boyfriend to give up his 65 guns and use them to make a sculpture designed by artist Jeff Koons, E! New reports.

Penn commissioned the sculpture and auctioned it off over the weekend during his Help Haiti charity benefit in Los Angeles, Calif.

During the gala, Penn said that “a strong woman who happens to be from South Africa” convinced him to get rid of his guns. Theron was 17-years-old when her mother shot and killed her father during a drunken domestic dispute.

“Being provoked by this aforementioned strong woman and considering how liberating of bullshit and ugliness it would be not only get rid of the guns I have in the continental United States but also to destroy them, Jeff Koons and I had a chat the other day,” Penn said.

“The highest bidder gets every single one of my guns put in the hands of this iconic artist and sculptor…Koons will decommission [and] render inactive all of my cowardly killing machines.”

The highest bidder of the Koons sculpture was CNN host Anderson Cooper, who bid $1.4 million and out outdid fellow coworker Piers Morgan, who came in under at $1.3 million.
