One Direction singer Liam Payne tweeted his support for “Duck Dynasty” following backlash the Robertson family received last month after patriarch Phil Robertson said in an interview with GQ that homosexuality is a “sin” and that it is “not logical.”
Phil was suspended from the A&E reality series after the remarks, but after huge backlash from fans the network let him back on the show after just a couple of days.
The 1D singer wrote to Phil’s son, Willie, on Twitter Saturday night:
@williebosshog huge love to you/your family huge respect for your business prosperities and the family values you still all behold. big fan

He then responded to angry tweets:
Being a fan of someones show and the way they still hold a family together doesnt mean i am ok with all they say.
