Former CNBC financial anchor Maria Bartiromo will be heading to the Fox Business Network on February 1, the network confirmed on Wednesday.

“I tapped Maria to report live from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange while at CNBC,” said Fox News president Roger Ailes in a statement. “I am delighted to have her join me once again alongside our star lineup at Fox Business.”

Bartiromo is the latest addition to the network’s star-studded cast. A veteran of broadcast journalism, she spent twenty years covering markets and anchoring financial programs at CNBC. Her flagship show “Closing Bell with Maria Bartiromo” ran from 2002 until late last year, when she decided to decamp to Fox.

The finance reporter will anchor a daily market hours program on Fox Business and head a business program on Fox News proper each Sunday.

As an award-winning journalist and voice of record in the financial world, Fox has long sought to bring Bartiromo into the fold. “We’ve had the conversation for five years, off and on, but we don’t see each other very often,” Ailes told The Hollywood Reporter back in December as rumors of her transfer circulated. “I finally decided that she’d be terrific in our lineup, and it happened to fit her timing and her contract.”

“And she’ll be seen on Fox News,” Ailes hastened to add. “She’s a star, and she’ll do some fill-in anchoring.”
