Some kids will do just about anything to win.

A middle school basketball player from Gaffney Middle School in Gaffney, S.C., allegedly admitted that he spiked the opposing team’s Gatorade cooler with bleach, according to Fox Carolina.

One Granard Middle School player said he felt a burning sensation in his mouth upon drinking the Gatorade during the game on Jan. 21, father Cleveland Smith told Fox Carolina. The next day, the boy reported stomach pains.

The boy later received a text explaining that a student had tampered with the Gatorade. The parent said his son drank four cups of the tainted Gatorade.

In a statement to police, the suspect said that he did not intend harm with his shenanigans.

Several eighth grade students have been disciplined within the school system, but no further legal charges have been filed.
