Denver Broncos player Shaun Phillips had a rough Sunday. The veteran defensive end had only three assisted tackles as his team lost the Super Bowl in a 43-8 blowout.

Luckily, he still had at least one fan. He tweeted after the game, “Sorry we let you guys down. Messages like this is the I my thing that make me feel better.”

He attached a screenshot of a text exchange with his son Jaylen, in which he apologizes for losing the game.

His son adorably replies, “It’s ok daddy u r still my hero.”

If that doesn’t make you melt, Phillips’ follow up of “Well at least we get to hang out now,” should.

Hopefully Jaylen and Phillips’ other sons Camron and Marcus will get to spend a lot more time with their dad.
