House of Cards already renewed for third season

The Nextflix original series “House of Cards” has been renewed for a third season two weeks before the scheduled public release of the second season.

Deadline reports the popular political drama centered around the rise of ruthless House Democratic Majority Whip Frank Underwood — played by Kevin Spacey — has been given a third season despite Netflix’s original $100 million investment into just two.

With three Emmy awards and a Golden Globe for its first season and the intense fan anticipation preceding the release of the second, its no surprise Netflix is continuing to endorse the show’s immense success and popularity.

Season two will debut on the leading online movie and television streaming website on Feb. 14.
