Virginia Sen. Mark Warner suggested to a radio host Tuesday that he wants to sign the White House petition to deport Canadian pop singer Justin Bieber from the United States.

In a light-hearted segment on FM99’s Rumble in the Morning, the Democratic lawmaker was asked about the petition.

“As a dad with three daughters, is there some place I can find [it]?” Warner replied.

As of Tuesday morning, more than 250,000 Americans had signed the petition on WhiteHouse.gov.

Because the petition has surpassed 100,000 signatures, the White House is obligated to release a statement responding to it.

The petition states: “We the people of the United States feel that we are being wrongly represented in the world of pop culture. We would like to see the dangerous, reckless, destructive, and drug abusing, Justin Bieber deported and his green card revoked. He is not only threatening the safety of our people but he is also a terrible influence on our nations youth. We the people would like to remove Justin Bieber from our society.”
