Republican David Perdue, the former CEO of Dollar General and the cousin of Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue, who is running for the open Senate seat in Georgia Tuesday evening, is up with a Web video that is sure to get him noticed.
The video is a five-minute introductory spot that recounts Perdue’s background and biography. But the most memorable part is the way the it portrays the other candidates vying for the Republican nomination for Senate.

Georgia Reps. Jack Kingston, Phil Gingrey, and Paul Broun and former Georgia Secretary of State Karen Handel all appear in the ad as babies, wearing matching white onesies with their first names.
Baby Karen is wearing a pearl necklace and pearl earrings, which she often sports in photographs; Baby Paul and Baby Phil both have stethoscopes, as both were doctors before joining Congress; Baby Jack is holding a pair of glasses that look like the congressman’s.
In the ad, Perdue calls himself an “outsider,” not like the whiny, crybabies who run Washington (check out the last few seconds of the ad).
A poll from Citizens United conducted by Kellyanne Conway found Perdue trailing all four of the “babies” in the Republican primary, The Hill reported Tuesday.
Gingrey leads with 19 percent, Handel is at 14 percent, Broun is at 13 percent, and Kingston is at 11 percent. Perdue is at eight percent.
The Republican primary is scheduled for May 20. The winner is expected to face Democrat Michelle Nunn.
