Who will take Kevin Spacey to the White House Correspondents’ Dinner?

It’s hard to imagine this year’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner without the sultry southern accent of House Majority Whip Rep. Frank Underwood (D-S.C.) among its guests in the Washington Hilton ballroom.

Murderous, philandering husband or not, who doesn’t want him there?

As it happens, actor Kevin Spacey, who plays Underwood in the hot Netflix series House of Cards, is still up for grabs. No media outlet has bothered to invite him yet this year. He says Washington’s warped version of the Oscars may not fit his schedule anyway, but even if you don’t want to or can’t go, it’s always nice to get invited to the dance.

The Hill‘s “In the Know” column broke the news.

Important question: Wouldn’t that’ve been a rather fitting moment for The Hill to leap on Spacey as their guest? Like the bulk of publications around town, The Hill has not yet announced who their date will be to the dinner.

House of Cards picks back up Feb. 14. We can hardly wait.
