Sochi may not be the safest place in the world right now as stray dogs run across the competition courses and government officials warn travelers of toothpaste bombs and other scary terrorist situations.

But at least the athletes in Olympic Village will be exponentially safer from sexually transmitted diseases.

The International Olympic Committee has handed out 100,000 condoms to Olympic athletes, TMZ reports.

According to CBS, there are 2,800 athletes competing at the games — meaning each athlete gets 36 condoms. In case you aren’t good with numbers, that is A LOT of condoms for two weeks.

Back in 2012, Team USA soccer star Hope Solo said that after the athletes compete in their events, they head back to Olympic Village for some more exercise.

“With a once-in-a-lifetime experience, you want to build memories, whether it’s sexual, partying or on the field,” Solo said at the time. “I’ve seen people having sex right out in the open. On the grass, between buildings, people are getting down and dirty.”

One anonymous former Olympian said that it was her goal “to fill each remaining day at the Village with as much alcohol-drenched sex as possible” when she was at the 2000 Sydney games.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention offered some helpful safety tips to Sochi travelers:

  • Always wear a seatbelt.
  • Wash hands frequently, or use hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available.
  • Cough and sneeze into a tissue or your sleeve (not your hand).
  • If you drink alcohol, do so in moderation.
  • Use latex condoms if you have sex.
