National Journal, owned by David Bradley, is stretching its sales department to New York.

Liz Rioux-Christian is going to work as national account director in charge of the brand’s Northeast region advertising sales division. She’ll be based in New York and will work closely with National Journal’s D.C.-based sales team, led by Chief Revenue Officer Poppy MacDonald. Bruce Gottlieb, president of National Journal Group, made the announcement today.

Rioux-Christian previously worked for McMurray/TMG, a content marketing agency, where she was vice president of content sales. Before joining McMurray/TMG, she worked for a variety of media brands, including CQ Roll Call, Newsweek, and Meredith Corporation.
