Rumors of a Lexington, Miss., man’s death were greatly exaggerated, as shown when he woke up inside a body bag at a funeral home.
According to The Associated Press, relatives of 78-year-old Walter Williams had called the county coroner assuming that Williams had died. The coroner pronounced Williams dead at 9 p.m. Wednesday. Early the next morning, before workers could embalm Williams, he began kicking in the body bag.
The family was contacted, and Williams was taken to a hospital. The coroner theorized that Williams’ pacemaker stopped working, and then started again.
