Richie Incognito has checked himself into a psych ward

Former Miami Dolphin and alleged locker room bully Richie Incognito has checked himself into a psychiatric ward Friday. This follows a string of odd and destructive behavior over the past couple of weeks.

Incognito took a baseball bat to the front of his own Ferrari earlier this week and talked to the Phoenix Fox affiliate KSAZ about it. He said, “Oh that was that was just me venting, that was self expression, that’s a piece of art. The happiest day of my life was when I got that car and now the second happiest day will be when I donate it to charity.”

He also went on a Twitter rant on February 17. He tweeted:

All this is coming in the wake of reports that his mother and father are divorcing. TMZ reported that his father said Incognito financially supports the entire family. He pays for his brother’s tuition at ASU and bought his parents a home when they lost their house.

Incognito will eligible as a free agent March 11th.
