Michelle Obama: Barack says I’m bossy

Font Size:

Now that all the other problems in the world have been solved, our moral, ethical, and intellectual betters on the left are telling us not to use the word “bossy” anymore. Or else.

But should we listen to them, or to the leader of the free world? Badger Pundit did some digging, appropriately enough, and found this:

Uh-oh. Let’s hope President Obama has “evolved” on this issue too!

Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg clearly doesn’t understand how thoroughly she’s undermining her own premise. She was called “bossy” as a kid, and it motivated her to become rich and powerful enough to start a media campaign to tell other people what they should and shouldn’t say. Um… hello? So it worked!

Challenges spur strong people into action. By all means, let’s protect future generations from such challenges.

As well-intentioned as it may be, it’s just another brick in the road to Hell. Everybody wants to protect their kids. But speech codes and other such coddling only insulate them from reality and give them a false sense of entitlement. Then they grow up and they have no idea how to conduct themselves. (See: Occupy Wall Street.)

Also, don’t tell me what to do, bossy. This is just another reason I’m glad I quit Facebook

P.S.
