Jolly mocks Nancy Pelosi’s ‘spin control’ after winning election [VIDEO]

Florida Republican congressman-elect David Jolly mocked Nancy Pelosi for “engaging in spin control,” after she claimed his election Tuesday night does not spell trouble for Democrats in November.

Jolly won the vote by nearly two percentage points in an election viewed as a measure of the nation’s feelings on Obamacare and the Democratic politicians responsible for it (RELATED: Jolly wins election that tested Obamacare’s appeal). The congressman-elect said his victory showed that Americans are concerned with the growth of government.

“You did mention the president’s health-care plan,” Jolly told Fox News’ Megyn Kelly. “We know that represents a view of government that is of great concern to people across this country. And it’s true right here in this community as well.”

“The president’s health-care plan has hurt the people in this county,” he added, “and a number of people came out to the polls today to express that concern to the president and to Congress.”

Jolly also mocked House Democratic Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, after Kelly read a statement from the congresswoman dismissing his victory.

“Well, I think my new colleague Nancy Pelosi might be engaging in some spin control this evening,” he said, to laughs and cheers from supporters.
