Breitbart News CPAC party had orgy vibe

The Breitbart News party at “The Embassy” on Capitol Hill last Friday night was most definitely not off the record, despite claims to The Mirror from their “Minister of Culture” Jon David Kahn who wrote me that afternoon to say, “Party is off the record. Just a good hang.” Well hung or not, JKD (as we affectionally like to call him) was obviously full of shit as reports and tweets from the party began rolling in. There were stories about the party in both TheBlaze and Yahoo! News.

How were they ever going to enforce such a rule? Even Breitbart PR rep Kurt Bardella‘s reach doesn’t go that far. Kahn lied. Or pulled a “con” as his name might suggest. No doubt he got high fives from higher-ups on that one. Way to go Jon Kahn!

Despite the deception, The Mirror received numerous details on the party that have yet to be reported. Yes, there was that swing band with musicians in black tie, rolled cigars in the backyard, a cigarette girl milling about with candy, a champagne dispenser and full bar. But there was something else, a vibe that a partygoer described as that of an “anything could happen, orgy vibe.”

In an email bearing the subject line, “The Breitbart party was the sickest shit ever,” a guest described it like this:

“It was like the party embodied the spirit of the man — too intense, too drunk, too virile, too extreme. There was such a vibe at this house, so un-Washington. It was sick and virile and intense and drunk and loud and horny in a way that seemed like a real tribute to the man himself. Everyone was good-looking, and young. It was slightly frat but definitely in the spirit of CPAC. Anything could happen at this party — a stabbing, an orgy, a tent revival, dancing, levitating, crying. One of the bathrooms has a glass door. It was very Eyes Wide Shut, Breitbart. It was really sinister. Hard to explain. It was like there was a full moon, but there wasn’t. Maybe there is always a full moon over Breitbart.”

Apart from the horny, orgy vibe, other guests described more serious undertones. Like the inclusion of a shrine to Andrew Breitbart, who died two years ago (as pictured here below).

And then the petty: “I heard one partygoer express disappointment that no one important was there,” remarked a guest. “If you don’t count the Breitbart people, who are insufferably self-important. Amazing considering how approachable and cool Andrew was.”

By the way, my “orgy” source wanted to remain anonymous, because as he or she put it, the person most definitely wants to be invited back next year.

Update: Townhall‘s Katie Pavlich is offended by this writeup, calling it a “smear.” Poor Katie. In addition, Washington Post‘s “The Reliable” source column also wrote up this party.
