Energy drink maker Red Bull is no stranger to big stunts, but after having a man parachute from space where do you go next? Well Red Bull’s slogan of “Giving you wings” comes true in the latest Red Bull stunt.
The beverage company lined up it’s 2014 Formula one race car with new driver Daniel Ricciardo in a drag race ahead of the Australian Grand Prix. The opponent — a Royal Australian Air Force F/A-18 Hornet combat jet.
Despite only having 750 bhp from a turbo charged V6 engine (versus the Hornet’s 32,000 lbs of thrust) the car makes a good showing … for a little while. In the end the winner was always going to be obvious.
