A woman gave birth to conjoined twin girls who have only one body, but two heads, in India on Wednesday.

They have separate spines, necks and heads, but share all vital organs. They were delivered via cesarean section at Cygnus J.K. Hindu Hospital, reports Hindustan Times.

The 26-year-old mother was too poor to afford an ultrasound, so she was understandably shocked upon the delivery. Doctors are worried that the twins will not be able to survive for long with their condition. Conjoined twins tend to have a survival rate between 5 and 25 percent.

Dr. Shikha Malik, who delivered the babies said, “The parents are very distressed, and we are helping the family the best we can.”
