Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott says search planes are being sent to take a look at debris discovered on satellite imagery off the coast of Australia, ABC’s “Nightline” reported early Thursday morning.
The potential breakthrough comes almost two weeks after Malaysia Airlines flight 370 from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing went missing with 239 passengers and crew onboard.
“It may be a false alarm, but they seem to be treating it as a very promising sign,” ABC News’ David Wright reported.
