Being the openly gay son of a anti-gay lawmaker like Rep. Matt Salmon (R-Ariz.) can’t be easy.

But, hey, there’s always Facebook to let off steam.

A muscular blonde with a right shoulder covered in tats, Matt R. Salmon, the congressman’s son who lives outside of Phoenix, has status updates that have gotten pretty bold and racy as of late. Salmon is a medical resident who just got matched to a program for the next three years.

On Tuesday he wrote, “I know when a good looking straight guy checks me out he’s probably thinking, ‘Can I take him?’ “But I can’t help but wish he was thinking, ‘Can I take him…out for a nice dinner ended by hardcore cuddling?'”

Blake, a friend of his, remarked, “A lot of gay men I’ve known seemingly to have an erroneous and unfounded notion that most/all straight men have some buried, suppressed fantasy about penises–it grows old. Of course I realize thats not always the case, but I have encountered it a multitude of times.”

To which Matt R. Salmon replied, “Blake, even straight men have at least one penis they like to play with :-)”

In the spring of 2013, Rep. Salmon gave an emotional interview to a local Arizona radio show and said that despite his son’s homosexuality, he did not support gay marriage. He did, however, rave about his son, saying, “My son is by far one of the most important people in my life. I love him more than I can say. It doesn’t mean that I don’t have respect; it doesn’t mean that I don’t sympathize with some of the issues. It just means I haven’t evolved to that stage.”
