The Atlantic has a new presidential lineup. James Bennet and Bob Cohn have been named co-presidents of the publication. Kevin Delaney and Jay Lauf are co-presidents of Quartz.

Atlantic Media Chairman and CEO David Bradley announced the news.

Bennet will remain editor-in-chief of The Atlantic, but adds product and technology to his duties. He is the 14th editor of the publication. He came to work there in 2006.

Never one to not treat a press release anything less than majestically, Bradley exclaimed, “With these promotions, we are all but complete in installing a next generation of leadership at Atlantic Media.”

Bradley praised Bennett, saying in a memo to staff announcing the promotion, “As to the re-creation of the brand, James is the most-storied editor of The Atlantic in half a century, maybe more.”

He also had complimentary words for Delaney: “Kevin is as visionary a talent as I have met in my 15 years in media.”

Long live David Bradley’s compliments!
