Fox News anchor Bill Hemmer has signed a multi-year contract with Fox News. He will continue hosting America’s Newsroom with Martha MacCallum and other “significant duties” at the network. Roger Ailes announced the news.

Along with his 9-11AM/ET weekday news program, Hemmer agreed this past September to host the 1 p.m. hour temporarily until the debut of a new show in that timeslot.

Lots of love to go around.

“Bill Hemmer is a fantastic all-around newsman and a tremendous talent,” said Ailes. “One of his great gifts is his ability to work so well with everyone — there isn’t an hour in our news lineup that Bill couldn’t anchor. He’s the consummate team player.”

And Hemmer: “There is no better boss in America than Roger Ailes. I’m proud to work for him and my wonderful, hardworking colleagues at FNC.”

Hemmer first joined Fox News in 2005.
